Year in Review
Celebrating our outgoing cohort at the Going Forth Ceremony! From back to front, left to right: Spencer, Dr. Rima, Jae Carey, Xian-an, Peace, Nobuko, Sharon, Luisa, Jesse, Ollie and Andrew
Some words from outgoing student co-chair, Ian Pereira Miles:
It is with great joy and great sadness that I turn towards this year behind us and feel the immensity of all that has flowed within this beloved community of deep learning and practice. As violence and separation continue to ravage the world and interpersonal relationships all around, my heart is broken open to the world and held together by many hands offering compassion, loving attention, joy, and equanimity to all they meet. This year has stretched and challenged me in many ways that I could never have prepared for, and through it all, I am repeatedly filled with wonder and awe by the magnificent beings who make up this community. Each of you, pouring your hearts into the world, opening yourself to the mysterious and wonderful flow of loving action, even as forces of greed, hate, and delusion seek to destroy and overwhelm the most vulnerable, is a precious jewel in the lineage of those who choose to love boldly. As our graduating cohort brings their love out into the wide world, and a new cohort prepares to join us this fall, may we cherish the few specks of time we have known together, may we continue to show up for the time we have now, and may we sow and reap seeds of abundance ever onward.
Thank you for your practice!
